STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

For counsellors-in-Training who are currently enrolled in recognized Diploma/Degree programme in counselling.

Fee: Ushs. 50, 000/=

For psychologists -in -Training who are currently enrolled in the Masters programme in counselling, clinical psychology.

Fee: Ushs. 100, 000/=

 

Membership policies and guidance

These policies and associated documents explain our processes and what we expect from you as a member. They form part of your membership terms and conditions. We review and may amend these policies at any time, so it's important that you check them regularly. We will ask you to confirm that you have read and agree to them when you apply for or renew your membership.

Members taking part in protests

If you decide to take part in a peaceful protest being arrested wouldn’t necessarily bring the profession into disrepute or lead to withdrawal of membership – any conviction would be looked at on a case by case basis to determine whether it would affect your membership. You should also inform us of any charges you face, and please be aware that your employers may have a different view.

Registered Membership

All practising members of UCA must either be registered or be working towards registration. Joining the UCA Register demonstrates that you meet high standards of proficiency, professionalism and ethical practice. Increasingly employers and clients are checking the Register when recruiting or choosing a therapist.

What is the UCA Register?

The UCA register is a public record of counsellors and psychotherapists who meet or exceed our recommended minimum quality standards. These standards cover training, supervision, continuing professional development and a contractual commitment to our ethical framework.
